Get your time right! Up with colours, yeay!

It will certainly brighten up a wall, but these Colour Clock and Colourblind Clock by Sono Design offer just a little bit more.

If you don't know yet what colour to paint your walls in, get the Colour clock
If you wanna make it a little bit more difficul, like a puzzle, well there are numbers on the Colourblind Clock, but they're not obviously visible. You'll have to look very closely to pick them out.

ECO-DESIGN - HEE chair by Hee Welling

The idea for the Hee chairs derives from an ambition to make an eco-friendly chair where the materials are easily recyclable. Creating a chair from one single material has the environmental advantages of saving transportation between different production sites and simplifying the recycling of materials. The philosophy was taking an archetyppical chair – and perfecting it in every single detail by lifting the design up a level, simplifying it and improving the usability. The starting point was to make a cool and basic chair that would fit most locations – modern but not so typical of the period, that it does not have a long life. There is nothing superfluous or ornamented about the chair and nothing can be removed without losing the function. The chair has a playful expression but does not let the design compromise its purpose. The mentality of using-and-throwing-away is not in harmony with the environmental ambition. Balancing the construction was essential – as was combining aesthetics and function by finding exactly the right thickness of the metal wire. The chair is made from 11 mm metal wire and the form refers to a sketch - a pencil drawing in three dimensions. The Hee chair comes as a lounge chair, a dining chair and a barstool. It is, among other places being used in the new Oslo Opera and the Australian parliament. The chair is stackable and electroplated prior to the powder coating, and they withstand weather throughout the year making it suitable for an outdoor set up.

let go let go - that gray feeling of this drowsy Thursday

The Swedish duo jj emerged on the Gothenburg based record label Sincerely Yours in 2009, with a particularly gratifying take on the musical preoccupations common to much of the label’s roster. The band consists of Joakim Benon and Elin Kastlander...almost androgynous-ly emeriging in and out of each other... Get cold but dreamy...with n°3

‘Let Go’ will be featured on jj’s upcoming new album entitled jj n° 3, which is due for release in March 9th on Secretly Canadian.

DeLorean - back on the market!!!

Made famous by its time machine posturing in Back To The Future and still collectable because of the short production span (1981 - 1983), the car has got a new lease of life via the DeLorean Motor Company, which is owned and run by Texas entrepreneur Stephen Wynne - and the proud owner of the substantial number of spare parts produced for the car.

That means you can buy a DeLorean DMC-12 built from the ground up using a combination of new, original and reproduction parts, offering up a new, improved design, stainless steel chassis, performance engine and suspension packages, the option of auto or manual gears and everything from other HD and satellite radios to iPod interfaces, satelllite navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity for the in-car gadgetry. Those gullwing doors are standard obviously.
None of that comes cheap, as you might expect. The entry level price is the eqiuivalent of £36,889, while the price of a souped-up version is just over £40,000. But that price does make you the envy of your neigbourhood. See the site to start building your own model online.

things to do on a Sunday afternoon : take up crochet!

UK-based artist shauna richardson develops life-size animals
through the process of crocheting. She uses the term 'crochetdermy'
to better explain her work which makes strong references to
taxidermy. her pieces are made with materials like coarse wools
such as mohair mixes, glass eyes, reproduction claws etc. the
free-style crochet technique she applies is executed with a 3mm
hook, using one color and one stitch. the direction of the stitches
highlighting anatomical features. it usually takes her months to
complete one piece.
