:::: Le Creative Sweatshop for WAD magazine ::::

Le Creative Sweatshop is the result of the encounter between Ndeur and Make a Paper World in January 2009: a conceptual agency based of modern communication means and mediums, through the lens of the DIY culture, working on volume and space scenography.

Here they designed a series of paper fashion accessories exclusively for WAD magazine. The accessories seem to be part of the models as you can see through the eyes of photographer Matthieu Deluc.  According to Mathieu and Julien “Creativity is all around us – it is something you must constantly work on,  whereas the more you are surrounded by a creative environment the more creative you become – creativity is an everyday job and consists of hard work’.

n a d i a - the choice is hers!

Unlike a conventional camera Nadia has no display of the photographs to be taken, but rather gives the judgment of aesthetic quality to the machine, displaying only a current rating as feedback about when and what to snap.

Within pop culture and society artificial intelligence has been a topic that is approached with hope, fear, cynicism, curiousity and caution. However many intelligent devices have already been effortlessly absorbed into our culture and everyday lives.

Currently under development, we will soon see devices and systems that have the ability to think creatively and infer beauty. As this novel technology improves and works its way into consumer devices, what effect will it have on individual preference and our creative process?
Will new objects and possibilities arise?

Deer loves Patrick Staheli's architectural inspired graphic art!

Drawing from architecture, high modernism and his immediate surroundings, Staheli's work floats gently between naive abstracts & hard edged landscapes.
This recent series of drawings takes its forms from pop culture and daily life, and with the use of repetition and detail he twists familiar elements into disquieting re-configurations.

Deer loves SCHRMMMMM - jewellery!!!

SCHRmm jewellery is a London based jewellery label by Dutch designer Laurie Schram. For Schram the most important ingredients in her work are integrity, originality and freedom. She is interested in playful confrontation and anti virtuosity. Popular culture and its interaction with the social/cultural atmosphere are important sources of inspiration and theme in the work. Schram’s uncomplicated aesthetic is the centre point and reveals ideas with clarity and confidence. The latest work features aeroplanes and camels alongside music notes and a very cute homage tic tac’s iconic mint candy. Pieces are all made in the UK and hand finished. SCHRmm jewellery is sold in Japan, London and The Netherlands.

The marble-lous world of Affiliati Peducci/Savini

After meeting each other during their studies at Carara -the once upon a time marble heaven- they decide to take marble sculpting to a next & blurry level! Their art looks like melted, foamed and even burned wood-like marble.  Statues completely disorientated from there mostly classical origins, brought into an upside down world!
